Material Girl "literally"

Sorry for the delay in posting, honestly I have no idea where the time has went?
I have been helping out the hubby on his business ventures and that has left me behind in mine. But the good news is I have been able to get to a favorite hot spot of mine.
The Fabric Hut!
So it is official, I am a Material Girl, while I can definitely relate to the one Madonna describes in her music, this time I am literally a material girl. I go into the shop and fall in love the textures, colors, and then I find myself checking out with fabric I do not have definite plans for, but know that I can not live without! With prices that are just too good to be true, it is a recipe for indulgence, the one thing on my resolution's list that I am not adhering to, and it is only February! But do know I have wonderful intentions; One day I hope to have a studio with lovely one of kind furniture that I have put together in my times of hunt and capture, and pieces of art that I have created, and also beautiful lighting, and decor that you just can't find here in good ole West Virginia. (Let me know squatty wing members if you think that it would be somewhere you would visit?)
So if you have some projects that you are working on and need affordable fabric, please head over to the Fabric Hut in Elkview, West Virginia! I had to share my little place with anyone that is looking for fabulous fabric on a budget! Check out the pictures! You might think wow this place is a zoo, but my eye twinkles when I walk in.
Until we meet again!

Illumination in the Bedroom

Hello All,
I wanted to share with you a little project that I actually did myself, and didn't even have to bring in the husband on this one. I added some illumination in our master bedroom. We have a lovely chandelier for an overhead light, but at night it is super bright, and sometimes I would like to just read, and with that bright light there was no way that my husband (who would prefer to sleep in a bat cave) could stand it. So I wanted sconces on the wall, but I wasn't wired for them. So I found these lovely wall lamps at the Home Depot to install to give us individual lighting, just like a resort! I am pleased with the outcome, and now I can actually stay up all night surfing through my magazines or reading my favorite author Sophie Kinsella. It was an affordable fix, and I was able to take the drill and get the project complete! and then Wa-la!

Check out Peter Breese!

So my very wonderful friend who happens to own a fabulous Vintage Poster Store in sunny Key West, Florida (cringe all of whom are suffering cold weather), has acquired some new lithographs from the artist Peter Breeze. I think they are just completely fabulous, and would make a statement in anyone's home.

Please contact South Pointe Gallery to purchase, and of course Peter Breeze's website to admire!

Shopping Creatively!

Hello Squatty Wing Members!
I am happy to be posting a nice tid bit about shopping creatively (budget).
I was brain storming up ways to find beautiful things with out breaking the bank! And for anyone that knows me, I can break a bank for all things that I love, but in this economic climate it is good to save when possible.
So in this light of climate change, I have decided to share some thrift store shopping ideas for you, and the good news is you can shop at these places while you are supposed to be working. Here is a great online thrift store for art:

And for my fashionista's here is a great spot for designer items:

Happy Shopping!
